The International Socca Federation is delighted to announce that Christoph Köchy has been appointed as the new President of Socca Europe.
ISF CEO Thanos Papadopoulos said: “Christoph has always been an integral part of the ISF Executive team, but he had to take a step back this past year to concentrate on organising the upcoming 6-a-side World Cup in Germany, which is understandable. Once that tournament is over, Christoph will officially assume his role as Socca Europe President. This will be a huge relief for both myself and Tournament Director Tom Nash, as Christoph will be able to focus more fully on the wider socca picture around the world, with a particular emphasis on Europe.”
A delighted Christoph is looking forward to bringing his experience to the position. “After being in the small-sided football arena for more than a decade, it is a pleasure to take on this role for the ISF,” he said.
He admitted his excitement about the potential moving forward, stating, “We work as one big family here, organising the biggest and most inclusive events. The future looks very bright.”
This appointment follows the previously announced appointments of Waleed Al Obaidani, Imad Mahassine and Sergio Ibarra, who are the Presidents for the Middle East, Africa and South America, respectively. It also aligns with ISF’s expressed desire to strengthen their top team and give the organisation a truly global reach.
